BGMEA University of Fashion & Technology (BUFT) was set up in March 2012 under the Private Universities Act of 2010 and is dedicated to the development of human resources for the readymade garment, textile sectors of Bangladesh. The aim is to develop this university as a centre of excellence for the study, research and development to serve the nation.
BUFT has collaboration with London College of Fashion (LCF), University of Arts, London, UK; Niederrhein University, Germany, and National Institute of Fashion & Technology (NIFT), India, Liberec University, Czech Republic, Hanseo University, South Korea, Wuhan Textile University, China to promote and strengthen its academic, training and research activities for achieving international standard.
